It is suggested that primary students (K-3) do 45 minutes of home learning daily - 30 minutes of literacy and 15 minutes of math. Home learning activities are posted on Google Classroom, under Classwork. Please keep in mind that your family takes priority during this unprecedented time. Over the coming weeks, I will be providing material for home learning. Do what you can, when you can but, above all do what works best for you and your family.

Tricks for Helping your Child in a Second Language :
- Word is difficult to read or understand : If your child having difficulty understanding or reading a word in a story that was sent home or on any of the online resources, use Google Translate to help you. This tool isn't 100% correct everytime but will at least give you an idea of the word or phrases meaning. Word Reference is an online dictionary that may also be helpful.
- Watching online videos : Below I've included a photo to show how to change the speed on French videos, which can sometimes be a little too quick to understand. When viewing a video locate the settings button (ressembles a little gear) at the bottom of the video screen. From there the menu should provide you with a playback speed option where you can change the speed of the video. Closed captioning can also be turned on in some Youtube videos by clicking the CC icon next to the settings button (not pictured below).
Tips for Parents :
- Student work can be scanned using your smartphone and other smart devices
- The Google Classroom app can be download to your smart devices
